Jane Ann Foglesong Correia
07/27/1954 – 07/20/2024
We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Jane Ann Correia, fondly known as Kini, to her
grandchildren. She passed away unexpectedly at her home in Kauai on July 20, 2024.

The shock and sadness we feel today are a testament to Jane's special place in our hearts. Her
kindness, compassion, and selflessness were rare and precious qualities. Jane had the remarkable
ability to make those around her feel loved and valued, and we are all better for having known her.

Even more than the love she poured into us, the example she lived truly set Jane apart. She showed
how we could also live a life with purpose, not focused on personal ambition. Jane served as a model
of selflessness to all of us and her model was Jesus. Jane lived out her faith by thinking of others as
more important than herself. Everything she touched turned beautiful, including all of us.

Jane was born in Kirksville, Missouri, on July 27, 1954, to Howard and Patricia Ann (McConkey)
Foglesong. She grew up in Kirksville, where she met her husband, William (Billy) Correia, Jr. while
working at International Tours Travel Agency, where he came to pick up a plane ticket to Hawaii. They
were married on November 26, 1977, and had two daughters, Kellen Lewis and Caroline Buersmeyer -
the loves of their lives until the grandkids came along!

She lived every day with pride, joy, and “Kini love” for her grandchildren, Simone, Harlee, Will and Kai.
Her everyday presence, no matter where she was, made her much more than a grandma. Jane also
cherished watching Billy play softball, visiting family in Missouri, and spending time with friends in
Oklahoma and Kauai.

Her legacy lives on through her daughters, Kellen (Steven) Lewis and Caroline (Alex) Buersmeyer; and
grandchildren, Simone and Harlee Lewis and Will and Kai Buersmeyer. Jane will be missed every day
by her husband, Billy; brothers, Richard (Carol) Foglesong and Patrick (Christina) Foglesong; sister,
Betty Clark; adoring nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and extended family.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Patricia Foglesong; brother, Mike Foglesong;
favorite aunt, Ruby Reed; mother-in-law, Alice Correia; and father-in-law, William Correia, Sr.

As we celebrate Jane's life, let us hold onto all the beautiful moments, memories, conversations, and
laughs we had with her. Let us all strive to honor her memory by living our own lives with the same
kindness and selflessness that she showed us every day. Goodbye for now, dear Jane, until we meet
again. You will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024, in Edmond, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life was also held at her home in Kapaa, Kauai on Friday, August 2, 2024.
