Jeri L. Scriven, 67 of LaPlata, Missouri passed away after an illness on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.
She was born in Peoria, Illinois on January 22, 1956 to Harvey Leon and Margie Lou (Young) Head. On October 23, 1977 in Horseheads, New York she was united in marriage to Thomas R. Scriven.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her baby daughter, Krista Marie Scrivens on August 8, 1980 and her brother, Walter Head.
Jeri is survived by her loving husband, Thomas R. Scriven of LaPlata, MO; her three daughters, Misty Orgill (Destin) of Emerson, MO, Michelle Marx (Chris) of Fayetteville, NY, and Nancy Pearson (Scott) of Horseheads, NY and thirteen grandchildren and one on the way. She is also survived by five siblings and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jeri lived her life raising her children, being an ombudsman for the USS Saginaw while her husband served in the Navy. She later went on to work as a department manager for Wal-Mart and then on to truck driving with her husband for Eight years before retiring.
She was a loving mother and grandmother who was the glue of the family, the best cook and baker. She was an amazing friend, love by many and will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023 with funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
