Joe Robbins 74, passed away Monday night (March 7, 2022) at his home in Kirksville, Missouri.
The son of Labe Levi and Ruth Margaret (Thompson) Robbins, he was born June 9, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1952 he moved with his family to Worthington, Missouri where he grew up and attended the Worthington grade school. On March 6, 1971, he was united in marriage to Georgann Watts who survives. They lived in Worthington until 2018 where he worked for the Ag Service and also at the Rock Quarry. In 2018 they moved to their present home in Kirksville, Missouri.
Joe is survived by his wife, Georgann; his daughter, Angel Robbins and boy friend James Eiba; two sons, Billy Robbins and wife Crystal, and Tony Ray Robbins and wife Mary. He is also survived by
seven grandchildren, Amber “Piglet” Robbins and Danial Thomas, Tye “Bunky” Robbins, Kloe “Grasshopper” Robbins, Gage “Littleman” Robbins, Jasmine Kelsall, Christan Kelsall, and Damian Kelsall; and two great grandchildren, Xavier Thomas and Axton Thomas, and two brothers, Junior Robbins and wife Mary and Edward Robbins and Sandy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister, Joanne Clark, and sister, Margaret Gregory, and two brothers, David Robbins and Herman Richmond.
Joe loved to work on chain saws and chevy cars.
He was a loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. Loved his family.
His favorite saying was “Remember me as you walk by - as you are now once was I”
Visitation will be Saturday (March 12, 2022) from 10:00 to 11:00 am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 am in the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Keller officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Billy Robbins, Tony Robbins, Tye Robbins, Gage Robbins, Billy Lusher, and Howard Oliver. Honorary Bearers will be Junior Robbins, Edward Robbins, James Biba, and Dave Potter.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
