Joseph Pfeifer

September 9, 1955 — March 13, 2018

Joseph Pfeifer, 62, of Kirksville passed away Tuesday (March 13, 2018) at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, MO.

The son of John and Shirley (Day) Pfeifer, he was born September 9, 1955 in Elkhart, KS. Following high school, Joe entered the U.S. Army and served four tours of duty before he was honorably discharged. He worked as a ruffneck in the oil fields, on a farm and in the timber cutting trees.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Joseph is survived by one daughter, Michelle Forbes-Nolan of Watseka, IL; two sisters, Dorothy Rose of Oakley, KS and Kathy Smith of Olivehurst, CA; six grandchildren, three uncles, two aunts, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his patents, three uncles and three aunts.

Joseph will be cremated and no service will be held. Arrangements under the direction of Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
