Judy Lane, 67, of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, MO, on Friday, November 1, 2019, after a brief battle with ALS.

Judy Kay (Rollins) Lane was born in Centerville, IA, on February 4, 1952, the daughter of Junior and Marjorie (Brown) Rollins. She graduated from Unionville High School in 1970. Judy was united in marriage to Bobbie Lane at the Stringtown Christian Church on December 24, 1976, and he survives at home. Judy graduated from Cosmetology school in 1980 and was a beautician for 15 years. She then worked at the Putnam County Health Department before owning her own cleaning service where she cleaned for many local businesses and individuals. She continued in this business until she was diagnosed with ALS in August of 2018.

Judy’s greatest love was her family. She loved entertaining in her home with a house full of family and friends. She was proud of her kids and grandkids and made sure she attended all of their events. Judy also enjoyed residing and spending time golfing, fishing, and boating at Lake Thunderhead. She enjoyed attending gatherings and socializing with family and friends. She loved dancing, going to the casino, and playing bingo and cards with her friends. Judy would occasionally venture away from home with her friends on bus tours visiting places such as Branson and Texas. During the winter months she sewed, quilted, made crafts and put together puzzles. She also loved shopping with her daughters and granddaughters.

Judy was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Unionville in 1984 and had lately attended Hartford Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband Bob, Judy is also survived by her mother, Marjorie Rollins and her four children: Tammy (Lewis) Head, Timmy Bunnell, and Bobbie (Kevin) Lair, all of Unionville, MO, and Kerrie (Aaron) Rose, of Columbia, MO. Her grandchildren are Amanda (Nathan) Pipes, Kaylynn Head, Kaleb Head, Bryce Bunnell, Chanse Lair, Harrison Rose, and Henry Rose. Judy’s surviving siblings are Linda (Doug) Robertson, Vikki Sager, James Rollins, and Lisa (Michael) Wojcik. An uncle, Charles Brown, also survives as well as many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Junior Rollins, a sister, Jean Anne Knowles, a sister-in-law, Becca Rollins, and an aunt, Betty Brown.

Funeral services for Judy Lane will be at Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home in Unionville at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2019, with visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 3. Interment will be at the Unionville Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the PC Café and Resource Center or the Putnam County Historical Museum and may be entrusted with Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
