Julia Clark, 75, of Unionville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital in Unionville on Friday, March 18, 2022.
Julia Ann (Ranes) Clark was born in Unionville on January 26, 1947, the daughter of Eldon and Wilma (Alexander) Roseberry Ranes, who preceded her in death. She was involved in home economics in 4-H growing up. Julia graduated from Unionville High School in 1966. She worked at G & E Variety after high school graduation then began a long career as a bookkeeper, first for Unionville Skelgas and then for McCormack’s MFA. Julia married Richard Clark in Unionville on April 17, 1999, and Richard passed away January 14, 2022. The “town girl” became a farmer’s wife when she married Richard and she enjoyed working with the livestock. She learned to drive a tractor and was known for wonderful meals. She and Richard liked to travel and went to Canada, Alaska, Texas, and the Smokey Mountains among other places. They even took a trip by rail. Julia was an active member of the Unionville United Methodist Church where she was engaged in the after-school ministry for youth.
Julia is survived by stepdaughter Diana (John) Johnson of Mexico, MO; two grandsons Johnny (Siobhan) Johnson of Independence, Missouri, and Bryan (Shanon) Johnson of Jefferson City, Missouri; three great grandchildren, Jaxon Johnson, Aimzey Johnson, and Hattie Johnson; and a sister, Sandra (Kenneth) Stottlemyre of Unionville, Missouri.
In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Deskins, and a brother, Donald Roseberry.
Funeral services for Julia Clark will be at Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home at 2:00 pm Monday, March 21, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Unionville Cemetery.
