Kaci Lyn Tade

November 21, 1990 — February 9, 2022

Kaci Tade, 31, of Overland Park, Kansas, (formerly of Livonia, Missouri) passed away at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.  Kaci had been struggling with health issues this past year, but she continued to work and show her usual sunny disposition. She and her family enjoyed a wonderful time together just the preceding week as they all attended the Elton John concert in Kansas City.

Kaci Lyn Tade was born in Kirksville, Missouri, on November 21, 1990, the daughter of Lou and Marty (Brown) Tade.  She was reared in Livonia, Missouri, and graduated from Putnam County R-1 High School in 2009, where she was active in Band, Drumline, and the Scholar Bowl.  She then attended Missouri Western University on a band scholarship and was in the drumline there.  She transferred to University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg to pursue her Child and Family Development degree which she was awarded in 2015. She lived at the Campus Christian House and was active in her faith at college.   Kaci worked the last five years in customer relations for Synchrony Financial.  Her cheerful spirit and willingness to be a problem solver was rewarded with the position at the elevated help desk.

Kaci liked to sing Karaoke and follow her favorite sports teams.  She liked Disney movies and loved “the little ones:” babies and small children.  Kaci will be remembered for hugs, love, and acceptance and her family would want everyone to practice those virtues and pay them forward.  Kaci had a giving spirit and that continued in her passing when she became an organ donor.  She was baptized at Camp IMO in 1999 and was active as a young person at the First Christian Church in Unionville.

Kaci is survived by her parents, Lou and Marty Tade of Livonia, and her brothers Blake Tade of Kirksville, Missouri, and Brett Tade of West Des Moines, Iowa.  She is also survived by her grandparents, Lonnie and Judy Brown of Livonia as well as several cousins, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends. Her cat, Smokey also survives.

Kaci was preceded in death by her grandfather, Hubert Tade, her grandmother, Laura Mildred Tade Hart, and her step grandfather, Harold Hart.
