Katharina Scofield

Katharina C. Scofield, 79 of Kirksville passed away Wednesday (December 6, 2017) at Landmark Hospital in Columbia, MO.

The daughter of Hans Jakob Friedrich and Margaretha (Mathey) Boller, she was born April 1, 1938 in Bad Kreunach, Germany. On February 2, 1957 in Germany she was united in marriage to Carl L. Scofield.

Katharina is survived by her children, Mike Scofield and wife Reine of Protem, MO, Colleen Martin and husband Jeff of Novinger, MO and Judy Todd and husband Steve of Highland, CA; eight grandchildren, Randy, Michael, Rhett, Stephanie, Tyson, Brooke, Kristie, and Reta; and two sisters, Lotti Odrobinski of Germany and Erna Biesbrook and husband Devon of Mishawaka, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Earl Scofield and Jeff Scofield; and one sister, Emmy Litty.

Katharina grew up in Germany and moved to the states at the age of 19. She lived on Army bases for many years while her husband, Carl was in the service. After moving to Kirksville she worked at Northeast Missouri State University in Housekeeping for 30 years until she retired in 2000.
She enjoyed game shows, casinos, feeding the bird and visiting with family.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (December 16,2017) at Park View Memorial Gardens.
