Kathryn Ladwig

Kathryn Charlene Ladwig, 99 of Kirksville passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.

The daughter of Albert John and Iva Grace (Montgomery) Ladwig, she was born August 2, 1919 in Schuyler County, MO. She was married to Alva Myers and to this union one daughter was born, Betty Louise.

Kathryn is survived by four grandsons, J.R. Wilson, Jason (Mila) Wilson, Theron Jon Wilson and Joshua Dale (Amanda) Wilson; one granddaughter, Michelle (Paul) McQueen; one niece, Glenna (John) Taylor of Kirksville; and two nephews, Terrill Lay of Petaluma, Ca and Paul Lay of Greentop, MO.
She was preceded in death her parents; her daughter, Betty Louise Wilson in 2016; her sister, Hilda Lay in 1998; a granddaughter, Susie June in 1970; and one nephew, Charles Lay in 2002.

Kathryn received he education at Willmathsville and Greentop Schools. She was employed at the telephone office and the Victory Café and Station at Greentop. While living in Bloomfield, Iowa she was employed the Bus Depot. She returned to Kirksville in 1964 and was employed at the Laughlin Hospital and Laughlin Pavilion for 20 years before retiring. After retiring she did volunteer work at the Kirksville Residential Care Facility and other places.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Greentop Cemetery.
