Kathryn Lovekamp, 80, passed away Saturday morning (February 10, 2018) in the Schuyler County Nursing Home.
The daughter of Elva and Anna (Woods) Heaton, she was born February 7, 1938 in rural Rutledge. She attended grade school at South Liberty near Rutledge and graduated from Memphis High School with the class of 1955.
Kathryn was united in marriage to Carl Lovekamp February 1, 1958. They lived in rural Queen City for many years before moving to Greentop. She worked at the Glove Factory in Kirksville for a few years before going to work for Standard Register where she worked for several years. In later years she worked at Maritz.
Kathryn is survived by her son, Kevin Lovekamp and wife Karen of Kearney, MO, her daughter, Karla Metten and husband Reggie of Clarksville, TN, eight grandchildren, Stephanie Oliver, Jenni Palmer and husband Jake, Gunnar Lovekamp and wife Kailey, Amanda, Marissa, and Kristen Beeler, and Billy and Emily Metten; four great grandchildren, Peyton and Oliver Preslee, Jaxon Palmer, and Miles Lovekamp; three sisters, Dorva Harbur and husband Otho, Dorothy Hornung, and Eva Beach, and brothers, LaVern Heaton and Dale Heaton and wife Christine.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Carl.
She was a member of the St. Johns Luthern Church.
Kathryn was a very loving and giving mother.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (February 17, 2018) in the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Iammatteo-Code officiating. Burial will be in the Queen City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday (February 17, 2018) from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m in the Dooley Funeral Home
