Kathryn Delores Tarver of Kirksville, Missouri, originally from Lincoln, California, passed away on January 1, 2022, surrounded by family. “Mawgie,” as she was known by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was born on July 5, 1955, in Roseville, California.
Kathryn D. Tarver, “Mawgie” is preceded in death by her mother Ethel Scott, her father Walter Scott, her brothers Thomas Scott and Donald Scott, who passed away two hours after her.
Kathryn is survived by her husband Jack Tarver, her children, Suzie Fowler, Gerald Gregory, Raychelle Gregory, Sarah Gregory, Thomas Gregory, Jeremiah Tarver, and Katie Tarver. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Kathryn will be remembered for being the glue that held the family together, her accepting, unconditional love, and being a mother figure to anyone that was fortunate to know her. Her comforting wisdom cured the most broken souls, her embrace shined through the darkest fears, and her mere presence soothed the anxious mind.
