Letitia "Tish" Mcbee

Letitia Marie “Tish” McBee 96, of Queen City passed away Monday evening (January 23, 2023) in the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, Missouri.

The daughter of Vernie and Minnie (White) Wheeler, she was born April 15, 1926, in rural Queen City. She grew up in the Queen City area where she attended the Brushy Rural School and the Queen City High School.

Tish was united in marriage to Birney Elwood McBee on June 29, 1943, and to this union eight children were born. Beside raising her family, she also worked as a cook and waitress for many years.  She also worked in maintenance and retired from what is now Truman University.

Tish is survived by her children, Eva Johnson and husband Dan, Barbara Chaney and Husband Dennis, Joyce Clark and husband Bob, Loretta Strong and husband Fred, Roy McBee and wife Tracy, Dorothy McBee and husband Carl, Robert McBee, and Alice McBee and husband Louie. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers, Lee Wheeler and Ben Wheeler, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Anna Lou Caswell, Martha Bandle, Margaret Staples, and Alice Miller, brother, Vernie Wheeler, and grandson, Micheal McBee.

Tish was a very loving and wonderful mother.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, January 27, 2023, at the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Keller officiating. Burial will be in the Fugate Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan McBee, Brad Kramer, Chad Clark, Mark Clark, Logan McBee, and Steve Johnson.

Visitation will be after noon Thursday January 26, 2023, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, Missouri 63561,
