Louie Casady

Louie Casady, 81, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 3, 2023.  Raymond Louidene Casady was born at home in Worthington, Missouri, on December 23, 1941, the son of Gilbert and Sarita (Hogg) Casady.  He was reared and lived most of his life in the Worthington area.  Louie farmed, logged, operated a sawmill, and ran the grocery store in Worthington.  He married Janice (DeCook) Campbell on January 13, 1980, and they lived together on the farm in rural Worthington all their married life.  Louie liked to play cards and horseshoes, and he was an avid horseback rider.

Louie is survived by his wife of the home and three children: son Steve (Henrietta) Casady, daughter Angie (Eric) Thompson, and stepson John (Lisa) Campbell.   His six grandchildren are Dakota (Shelby) Casady, Patric Casady, Amber (Gary) Koch, Levi (Rebecca) Thompson, Tyler Campbell, and Bradly (Jessica) Campbell.  Louie’s two great grandchildren are Delila Casady and Edward Koch.  He is also survived by two sisters, Loretta (Kenneth) Gates, and Edith (friend Steve) Ruggles.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle and aunt, Irvin & Iris Hogg.

Graveside services for Louie will be at the Lone Pine Cemetery in Putnam County at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 9, 2023.  Memorials may be made payable to the Lone Pine Cemetery and entrusted with Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO  63565.
