Lynn Kendall

Lynn Edwards Kendall, 76 of Kirksville died Thursday, July 15 ^th , 2021 at home following a brief battle with cancer.

Lynn was born January 25, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York at the Naval Hospital to Navy Pilot Lt. Gib and Barbara Utterback Edwards. She was proud to have been raised in Oskaloosa, Iowa and graduated in the class of 1963. She attended all of her class reunions. She was honored to represent Oskaloosa and Mahaska County in the last Miss Iowa Pageant held in Clear Lake, Iowa the Summer of 1964. Lynn and Pete Kendall (Marion, IN) were married in 1966 at the Edwards home. She enjoyed a 32 year career in Education. Six years of teaching were in the Kingdom of Bahrain in the Persian Gulf in the 1980’s. She was initiated into P.E.O. Chapter IO, Iowa in 1963, and entered chapter eternal on July 15, 2021, having been an active member of Chapter CZ, Kirksville, MO.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Pete Kendall; her sister, Ann and brother-in-law Craig Posa; seven first cousins; and many friends from the Osky High Class of 1963.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Gib Edwards Kendall.

She requested no service and asks you help a friend, neighbor or stranger if you wish to honor her memory.
