Margaret Guilfoyle

Margaret Guilfoyle, 87 of Kirksville passed away Tuesday (August 8, 2017) at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Marion Fred and Margaret G. (Bondurant) Edris, she was born October 24, 1929 in Knox County, MO. On December 13, 1975 in Kirksville she was united in marriage to Robert Guilfoyle.

Margaret is survived by her children, Richard Scott of LaPlata, MO, Michael Scott of Kirksville, Cecil Klingsmith of Unionville, MO and Tommy Klingsmith of Unionville, MO; 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; one son, Fred Scott; one daughter, Kathy Klingsmith; one sister, Marjorie Aldridge; one brother, Ray Edris; and one granddaughter.

Margaret grew up in Knox County where she graduated high school. She made her home in Kirksville where she worked in housekeeping at KOH until she retired. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners, gardening, canning, animals and baking.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (August 12, 2017) at Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood, MO. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
