Marilyn Louise (Berry) Jarman was born in Unionville, MO, on April 1, 1935, the daughter of George and Pauline (Johnson) Berry, who preceded her in death. She graduated from Unionville High School in 1953 and married Loye Jarman in Unionville on June 27, 1953.
Marilyn and Loye lived in the Quad Cities briefly after their marriage, but soon returned to Unionville and lived there until Loye was drafted into the Army. They lived in Silver Springs, MD, while Loye was in the service, but returned to Unionville after his discharge. Marilyn worked for 12 years as a school secretary at Putnam County schools and then worked briefly at Rhodes Jewelry and Carter Shoe Store. Health issues caused Marilyn and Loye to move to Tucson, AZ, where they lived from 1979 until moving back to Unionville in November of 2016 in order to be closer to family. Marilyn worked at the Flowing Wells School District in Tucson until retiring in 1999.
Marilyn enjoyed crafts, especially decorating projects that Loye created. She loved to sew things for her family. Marilyn was a fun and lively person with a big smile and contagious laugh. She enjoyed being a member of the 20 Odd Extension Club in Unionville. She was active in PTA and served as a sponsor for God Squad at the First Christian Church in Unionville. Marilyn and Loye were active members of Mt. View Christian Church in Tucson hosting Bible studies in their home. She liked to attend estate sales and shop for antiques (especially chairs!).
Marilyn is survived by her husband of the home and by her children: Kenneth (Tracy) Jarman of Willard, MO; Teresa (Brent) Fleshman of Cameron, MO; and Melinda (Roger) Smith of Unionville, MO.
