Marvin David Logan passed away February 15, 2022, while a patient at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital, Unionville, Missouri, at the age of 83.

Born March 15, 1938, Marvin was the son of William LeRoy and Kathrina Gertrude (Geeseka) Logan. Raised in southeast Iowa, Marvin graduated high school in Bloomfield and then attended Drake University in Des Moines where he earned a business degree. During high school Marvin excelled in basketball, football, and track. While playing the Milan Wildcats at Milan his senior year, Marv made six touchdown receptions which he believed to be a school record at that time. Marv then continued his athletic pursuits in track and field while studying at Drake. In later years, he enjoyed assisting as an event official for the Drake Relays.

Marvin went on to earn an advanced degree in finance and enjoyed a successful life-long career as a bank executive. His warm personality and genuine interest in others led him to become a contributor to community interests wherever he lived. In addition to his participation in various civic organizations, Marvin took pride in serving his country for several years with the Army National Guard. Throughout his life, Marvin delighted in time spent with family and in outdoor activities including golfing, flying, boating, hunting, and fishing.

On January 26, 1980, Marvin married Jean Knight. After a brief stay in Illinois, Marv and Jean moved to Lake Okoboji, Iowa, where they spent many enjoyable years of lake life and golf. After forty years together, Jean preceded him in death November 20, 2020.

Also preceding him in death: his parents, William LeRoy and Kathrina Gertrude (Geeseka) Logan; a son, John E. Logan; three sisters, Eunice Johnson, Irene Bucker, Edna Ruth; two brothers, Keith Logan, Bill Logan; two nieces and one nephew.
