Michael R. Bratton

Michael R. Bratton, 69 of Kirksville passed away Monday, May 17 ^th , 2021 at the LaPlata Nursing Home.

The son of Ray and Fern (Humphrey) Bratton, he was born April 19, 1952 in Bloomfield, Iowa.

Michael is survived by his mother, Fern Bratton of Kirksville; his children, Tina Bratton of Kirksville, Michael Bratton of Kirksville, and Scott Bratton and wife Melissa of St. Joseph, MO; one brother, Robert Bratton and wife Kathy of Columbia, MO; one sister, Rebecca Hatchitt of Kirksville; eleven grandchildren, Dakota, Jesse, Colby, Caleb, Lucas, Cyle, Chandler, Olivia, Josie, Gavin and Kohyn; two great grandchildren, Connor and Nevaeh; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Michael attended Kirksville schools and graduated from Kirksville High School in 1970. He served in the United State Army from 1972 to 1973. He worked all his career doing Auto Body Repair. He loved to hunt, fish, drag racing and cars. He was a member of the Kirksville Moose Lodge.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 Saturday, May 22,2021 with funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
