Michael E. Jones

The son of Harry Adrian and Leta Mae (Shelton) Jones, he was born November 11, 1957 in Poplar Bluff, MO. On June 26, 1982 in Kirksville, MO he was united in marriage to Merrili Belzer.
Michael is survived by his wife, Merrili; one sister, Patricia Gail Shinofield and husband Alan of Oskaloosa, IA; and several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father on May 14, 2001 and his mother on March 24, 2017.
Michael moved to Kirksville in 1969 and graduated from Kirksville High School in 1975. He received a vocational degree in electronics. He worked for Kirksville Hy-Vee for 4 years, for PAMCO as a purchasing agent and parts department manager for 22 ½ years, he worked various retail jobs and was then the night auditor for Comfort Inn in Oskaloosa, IA for 5 years.
He enjoyed working with computers and on the internet, and had a love for The Beatles music.
Michael will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
