Michael E. Kahler

Michael E. “Mike” Kahler, 73, of Unionville, Missouri, passed away at the Putnam County Care Center December 6, 2020, after battling complications of the Covid-19 virus.

Mike was born in Wichita, Kansas, on June 19, 1947, the son of Franklin W. and Marjorie (Ashley) Kahler.  He received his education in Borger, Texas, and Goddard, Kansas.  Mike was united in marriage to Barbara J. Miller of Wichita, Kansas, in Miami, Oklahoma, on May 2, 1969, and she survives.

Mike was employed in the aircraft and marine industries early in life.  He later owned his own lawn care service.  He enjoyed traveling and playing card and board games with his family.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Steven R. (Debbie) Kahler of Shell Knob, Missouri, Ronald L. Kahler of Berryville, Arkansas; and three daughters, Tina E. Kahler of Gore, Oklahoma, and Dorothy “Dottie” Stuckey and Michelle Robbins, both of Unionville, Missouri.  Mike is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren with one on the way.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Marcia Brotherton, and a son, Mikie “Buzz” Kahler, Jr.

Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the PC Café and Resource Center and may be entrusted with Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27 ^th , Unionville, MO, 63565.  Inurnment will be at a later date.
