Mildred Ilean Dorsey, 90, died Sunday June 24, 2018, at Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Mildred Ilean Mayfield was born in Green City, Missouri, on October 17, 1927, the daughter of Harley and Roxie (LeMasters) Mayfield, who preceded her in death. She married Philip Dorsey on June 22, 1946, and he passed away May 19, 1978.
As a housewife Ilean worked various jobs while her children were growing. She was an active volunteer in her church and children’s school. Her whole life was centered on her God and her family. She enjoyed getting together with friends and family playing the guitar and singing.
Survivors include, daughter, Sandee (Chad) Hendry Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and son, Johnny (Cindy), Dorsey Hot Springs, Arkansas. Two grandsons also survive, JJ and Ian Hendry, as well as one granddaughter, Katie Dorsey.
In addition to her parents and husband, Ilean was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Ilean Dorsey will be at the Union Church Cemetery northwest of Unionville, Missouri, at 12:00 noon on Friday, June 29, 2018. Visitation will be at Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home in Unionville from 10:00 – 11:30 AM the same day of the service. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery.
