Nettie Chloe Hamilton

December 20, 1931 — March 2, 2018

Nettie Chloe (Casady) Hamilton, 86, died Friday, March 2, 2018, at Putnam County Care Center in Unionville, MO. She was born December 20, 1931, to Elvin K. Casady and Willadean Hays Casady, near Graysville, MO. On May 28, 1950, she married Kermit Keith Hamilton in Unionville, MO, where they raised 5 children.

Chloe was an active community member. She enjoyed knitting and was known by family and friends for the gifts of her afghans.  While her children were at home, Chloe was a leader in the Country Ring 4-H Club. For many years, she taught Sunday School and always remained involved in her church. She and Kermit also led several teams to the Dakotas on short term mission trips.  Chloe was a member of Omaha Baptist Church.

Chloe is survived by her beloved husband, Kermit, their five children: Donna Jean (David) Downey, Harrisonburg, Virginia; David (Janet) Hamilton, Auxvasse; Deanna (Jerry) Carter, Macon; Dennis (Tammy) Hamilton, Hopkins; and Donald (Tracy) Hamilton, Unionville; 14 grandchildren: John Hamilton, Aaron Downey, Ashley Carter Seal, Jason Hamilton, Jill Hamilton Clements, Jesse Hamilton, Tyler White, Tarran Hamilton O'Riley, Casady Hamilton Lilly, Bryan Hamilton, Katelyn Carter Maben, Megan White-Davis, Wesley Hamilton, and Jacob Hamilton; 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister Ouida Mathes.

Chloe was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Benjamin Hamilton; her parents; and her brother, Everett Junior Casady.

Funeral services will be March 9, 11:00 am, at the Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home in Unionville.  Visitation will precede the services at 10:00 am.  Interment will follow the funeral service at the Unionville Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Omaha Baptist Church Building Fund and may be entrusted to Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
