Paul Bradshaw, 78, of Livonia, MO, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019, surrounded by his family.
Paul J. Bradshaw was born in Kirksville, MO, on July 6, 1941. He graduated with the Livonia High School class of 1959, and moved to Des Moines, IA, to work.
With the exception of a few years in Des Moines and Greencastle, MO, Paul spent the majority of his life in the Livonia area. He drove over the road for many years, twice named Iowa Driver of the Month, but cherished the time spent at home with his family. In addition to his career as a truck driver, Paul farmed, starting in his early teens farming for his grandparents, mother and aunt.
Paul seldom met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with both new and old acquaintances. He loved spending time with family and friends and was an avid supporter of his sons and grandchildren in their activities. Paul was also an avid gardener and loved sharing the abundant produce.
Paul is survived by his wife Karen, four sons Shawn (Judy Ahn) Bradshaw, Shane (Sarah) Bradshaw, Shannon (Sarah) Bradshaw and Sterling (Ashley) Bradshaw. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Lacie Rockhold, Dillon (Mariah) Bradshaw, Haley (Ben) Helbing, Madison Bradshaw, Boyd Bradshaw, Samantha Bradshaw and Jenna Bradshaw and two great grandchildren Zander and Zoie Rockhold.
Graveside services for Paul were held at the Hinerman Cemetery north of Livonia, MO, on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Sonny Smyser conducted the service with “Amazing Grace” as the recorded musical selection. The casket bearers were his four sons, Shawn, Shane, Shannon, and Sterling, and his two grandsons, Dillon Bradshaw and Boyd Bradshaw.
Memorials for Paul are suggested to the Omaha Baptist Church or Hinerman Cemetery and may be entrusted to the Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
