Paul Lewis Montgomery, 80, of Green City, MO, passed away at his residence on Friday, December 4, 2020.
Paul was born in Unionville, MO, on February 28, 1940, the son of Harry and Blanche (Bruce) Montgomery who preceded him in death. He is survived by his only sibling, sister Mary Lois (Montgomery) Schnelle. He had 3 nephews, Fred, Roger, and Richard Schnelle. He was also preceded in death by his late wife, Dorothy Juanita (Dye) Montgomery.
Paul graduated from Unionville High School in Unionville, MO. He worked at Williamson oil company, Kozy Korner, and then Ryals gas station as a station attendant for many years. He later worked for Farmland in Milan, MO, and retired from there.
Paul lived in Unionville, Worthington, and retired in Green City, MO. He loved to go to Auctions, enjoyed the coffee shop, and visiting with others. He was a collector of many things and enjoyed showing them off.
Paul was married to Elenora (Howard) in November 1962 and divorced in 1972. They had 3 children; Sandi (Richard) Davis of Unionville, MO; Diane (Rob) Hollon of Purdin, MO; Tim (Valarie) Montgomery of Unionville, MO.
Paul and Dorothy were then married August 11, 1972. Dorothy passed away on August 29, 2018. Paul's surviving stepchildren are Donnie (Mildred) Watts, of Milan Mo; Craig Watts of Wichita, KS; and Georgann (Joe) Robbins of Queen City, MO. He was preceded in death by grandchildren, Dickie Watts and Elizabeth Watts.
Paul had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed visits with them.
Memorials are suggested to the Putnam and Sullivan County Senior Center and may be entrusted with The Playle & Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27 th Street, Unionville, MO 63565.
