Pearly (Tucker) Dwayne Hill died peacefully at the Davenport Lutheran Home from complications from dementia and a fall.
Pearly was born in Chapel, Missouri outside of Livonia. He moved to Davenport in the late 1950’s, married Evalyn Followwill and began a family. He retired from Oscar Meyer’s Davenport plant in 1994 after 35+ years of service. He was a family man, loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved horses, camping and shooting pool. He also enjoyed going to bluegrass music festivals. He was a former member of Grace Brethren Church and believer of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his daughters, Rhonda (Red) Felton and Liberty Hill of Davenport, IA; son, Rodney (Connie) Hill of Dixon, IA; partner, Melva Fuqua of McCausland, IA; and brother, Bob (Dixie) Hill of Unionville, MO; also 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evalyn ; his grandson, Chad; parents; and older brother and sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (August 23, 2017) at Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, MO with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Home Cemetery in Worthington, MO.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday (August 22, 2017) at Dooley Funeral Home, Queen City, MO.
