Richard A. Fleak

February 17, 1950 — October 2, 2022

Richard A. Fleak, 72 of Kirksville passed away Saturday, October 2, 2022 at the Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The son of Harold Robert and Henrietta Jane (Berry) Fleak, he was born February 17, 1950 in Quincy, Illinois. He was married to Helen Hodge and to this union two children were born, Kayelene and Kellie.

Richard is survived by two daughters, Kayelene Fleak of Kirksville and Kellie (Nacoda) Duncan of Kirksville; three grandchildren, Kayler Lippert, Weston Smith, and Kamiya Phanor; one brother, Billy Murphy of Ohio; one sister, Dolly Midgette of North Carolina; his dog, Punkin and a good friend, Pam Choate.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Richard grew up and attended school in Quincy, Illinois. Out of high school he entered the United States Army where he served until, he was honorably discharged for medical reasons. He was a truck driver until he became disabled. He loved fishing, junking and spending time with his family.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Linville Cemetery in Edina, Missouri.
