Richard Wade Rennells

Richard Wade Rennells, 65, of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital on October 19, 2019.

Richard Rennells was born in Kirksville, MO, on December 23, 1953. Richard was the son of the late Leo and Dorothy (Davis) Rennells. Richard graduated from North East Missouri State University with a degree in management, using his education managing mostly restaurants. Richard was a huge fan of racing and NASCAR, even participating in his early years racing modified cars and late models. His loyalty was shared with both the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals. Richard was a social bug who didn’t know a stranger, but his greatest joy in life was playing with his grandkids.

Richard is survived by his wife, Cindy of the home and five children; Dustin Rennells of Boston whom Richard was proud of his accomplishments in the Arts; Shane Wertz and family of Texas; Renee Hopps and family of Minnesota; Nathan Wertz and family of Iowa; and Kim Knapp and family of Florida. Richard was also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren along with a brother, Gerald Rennells (Donna) of Florida; sister, Kathy Rennells of Chillicothe, MO; and nephew, Matt Rennells (Kristen) of Lawrence, KS.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held for Richard at the Scout Building located in the Unionville City Park on November 9 ^th , 2019 between the hours of 11:00am – 2:00pm. Memorials are suggested to the Family in lieu of flowers and may be entrusted to the Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565.
