Robert Shelby Daniels

Robert Shelby Daniels, 84 of Kirksville passed away, Monday, September 28, 2020 at Samaritan Hospital in Macon, Missouri.

The son of Clark C. and Mildred (Gillespie) Daniels, he was born October 28, 1935 in Glenwood, Missouri. On June 15, 1958 in Brashear, Missouri he was united in marriage to Beverly Pinkerton.

Robert is survived by two sons, Curtis Daniels of Millard, MO and Ronald Daniels and wife Vicky of Kirksville, MO; one daughter, Joanne Daniels-Curry of Hannibal, MO; five grandchildren, Billy Daniels, Amber Perkins, Clark Daniels, John Curry II and wife Amanda, and Christopher Curry; and nine great grandchildren;.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly; one brother, Garland Daniels and one sister, Elizabeth Davis.

Robert graduated from the Queen City High School and Northeast Missouri State University. After college he worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation. He was a civil engineer for Burlington Railroad until he retired.

He enjoyed camping with the Good Sam’s Club, traveling, woodworking, spending time with family and helping people.

Robert will be cremated and no service is planned.
