Rose Marie McCarty

Rose Marie McCarty, 84, of Kirksville passed away March 18, 2025 at Hannibal Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving children. The daughter of Dominick and Mary (Brugioni) Amidei-Boni. Rose was born May 20th, 1940 in Novinger, MO. On June 6th, 1959 at Saint Rose Catholic Church in Novinger. Rose was united in marriage to Charles Richard McCarty. 

Rose is survived by her children; Sharla (Mark) Eagen of Kirksville MO, Kevin (Robin) McCarty of Birmingham AL, and Brian (Amy) McCarty of Kirksville MO, grandchildren; Tyson (Mandy) Eagen, Corey (Kate) Eagen, Travis (Brittany) Eagen, Mia McCarty, and Haley McCarty, greatgrandchildren; Hayden, Everett, Kennedy, Emerson, Scarlett, Carter, Mason, and Emma; brother Joe (Phylis) Amidei, sister Marguerite Robison, step-brother Ed Boni. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Step father Joe Boni, and sister Teresa Amidei.

Rose grew up in Novinger where she graduated from high school in 1959. She worked at McGraw-Edison for 19 years and after they closed their doors, she ran an at home daycare for many years. She enjoyed her shopping trips to Columbia with Sharla, cooking and enjoying time with her family. She will be dearly missed.
