Sandra Castiner

Sandra Castiner, 71 of Kirksville passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the LaBelle Manor.

The daughter of John and Darlene (Rowland) Palmer, she was born January 2, 1951 in Adair County, Missouri. Sandra grew up in Greentop and attended school in Greentop. She worked as a nurse in local nursing homes. Her first marriage was to Robert W. Nickell and they had two children, Nicky and Robert. She was then married to Gerald Lyons and they have one son, Jeremy.

She enjoyed dancing, traveling, listening to music, drinking red beer, and collecting nick knacks. She lived for her grandkids.

Sandra is survived by her children, Nicky Rick of Kirksville, Robert Nickell of Kirksville and Jeremy Lyons of Kirksville; six grandchildren, Dezeray Eiler, Caitlyn Lyons, Ciearra Lyons, Sarah Lyons, Aries Lyons, and Latisha Dial; three sisters, Sherry Little, Carrie Gavin, and Connie Moore.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tony and one nephew, Bobby.

Sandra will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
