Shirley Kruger

Shirley Joanne Kruger, 79 of Kirksville passed away Wednesday (June 21, 2017) at her home in Kirksville, MO.

The daughter of Lawrence and Eileen (Nelson) Wacholtz, she was born July 14, 1937 in Chicago, IL. On January 16, 1954 in Fairmount, MN she was united in marriage to Jerry A. Kruger and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Shirley is survived by two sons, Jerry Kruger and wife Becky of Kirksville and Timothy Scott Kruger and wife Tanya of Anamosa, IA; three daughters, Debbie Jo Kruger of Moscow, ID, Jody Eileen Nelson of Seattle, WA and Julia Rouse of Novinger, MO; 8 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren; one brother, Larry Dean Wacholtz and wife Jeanette of Denver, CO; and one half-sister, Cindy Johnson of Columbia, MO.

Shirley lived in Chicago until the age of 11 when her family moved to Trimont, MN. After her marriage they lived in several places. They lived 20 years in Edina, MO and later lived in Anamosa, IA. After her husband retired they moved to a farm south of Hurdland, MO.

Shirley will be cremated and no service will be held. Arrangements under the direction of
