Steven Benowitz

Steven Benowitz, 66 of Elmer, Missouri passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The son of Stanley R. and Marceille (Carter) Benowitz, he was born September 23, 1957 in Washington D.C.. In 1985 in Maryland, he was united in marriage to Kelley Wills.

Steven is survived by his wife, Kelley; three sons, Samuel Robert Benowitz and wife Stephanie of Moberly, MO, Cody William Benowitz of St. Joseph, MO, and Hunter Lee Benowitz of Kirksville, MO; and one grandson, Seth Benowitz.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Joann and one uncle, John Carter.

Steven family moved around a lot as Steven grew up. He graduated from Allendale Columbia School in 1975. He attended college studying business. He stayed at home with his boys while they grew up. He worked as an Assistant Manager at Radio Shack, helped family on the farm, enjoyed buying, selling, and trading different items and helped Al Johnson run the music store. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, music, and playing the guitar. He was a good-hearted person.

He will be cremated and no service will be held at this time.
