Teri Halley-Baldwin said farewell to loved ones and took her final breath early Tuesday, June 8, 2021. Teri passed in her home, surrounded by friends and family. The sun rose and the world welcomed Teri on March 20, 1959. On this day, the world became a little brighter. Teri was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Barnhill. After the local Florsheim Shoe Factory closed their doors, she pursued her dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. She graduated with honors from Indian Hills Community College and chose to specialize in geriatrics. Her diversity and commitment ultimately lead to an administrative role. Teri was also known to be a beloved instructor of several introductory certification classes. She committed herself to providing the most exceptional care and often worked long hours to ensure needs were met. She had the ability to communicate her professional philosophies through her instruction and unknowingly inspired several generations of healthcare workers to maintain the same expert level of care.
Teri married her beloved Steve on October 13 th , 2012. The ceremony took place with close family and friends and their love defined the terms of “unconditional” in the years they had together. She accomplished many things throughout her time with us and held a variety of interests. She was a proud member of the only women’s team in the local pool league and loved to sing, dance and play her harmonica. She treasured many friendships that withstood the test of time and never knew a stranger.
Teri is survived by her husband: Steven Baldwin; brother Frank Williams and sister Mary Shriver. She leaves behind her adult children and their spouses: Heather and Cory Hutton, Melissa Schaeffer, Tyson and Heather Halley, Tyler and Chelsea Halley; grandchildren (by age): Dillon, Darien, Zoie, Tyler, Anna, Bailyn, Hesston, James, Coleman, great grandson Axl as well as several nieces/nephews.
