Terry Capps

Terry Joe Capps age 72 passed away June 9, 2021 after a 15 month battle with cancer.

The son of Hallie Capps and Betty Snyder he was born April 17, 1949 in Stahl, MO. On July 4, 1998 he married Brenda Platz Ferry in Kirksville, MO.

Terry is survived by his wife Brenda, Son Brian (Angie) Capps, a Stepson Chad Ferry, one sister, Kay (Don) Magruder, three brothers, Kline (Shirley) Capps, Randy Capps and Alan (Barbara) Capps, Four grandchildren, Nick Ferry, Carmen Ferry, Zack Ferry and Lucas Ferry  Mother in law, Reba Platz, two brothers in law, Curt (Beth) Platz and Joe (Angela) Platz, several Nephews, Nieces, Cousins and his brother and sister in Christ, Joe and Rose White.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Betty Snyder, his father, Hallie Capps, Step Father, Beryl Snyder, two daughters, Jessica and Amanda Capps, and Brother, Roger Capps.

Terry worked for 35+ years as an Auto Parts Specialist with Joe Burdman Auto Parts and O'Reilly Auto Parts as a Parts Specialist and then a Parts Delivery Driver before retiring at age 62.

Terry loved spending time with his Grandchildren, spoiling his dogs, Mollie, Maggie and Laylo. hunting, fishing, arrow head hunting and flower and vegetable gardening. He spent hours and took great pride in his yard mowing and keeping everything trimmed up.

Terry attended Church at New Hope Evangelical Church and he was baptized at an early age in Stahl, MO. He loved the Lord and his faith was strong. It was Terry's wish to be cremated.

Visitation will be June 27th from 3 to 5 at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Brashear Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Northeast Missouri.
