Uarda Rennells Quint

Uarda Quint, 96, of Unionville, MO, passed away at the Putnam County Care Center on Monday, June 19, 2017. She had been a resident there for six months.

Uarda Rennells Quint was the only child of Glen and Rossie (Arnaman) Rennells who preceded her in death. She was born in Putnam County on March 18, 1921. She attended the Gray School and Unionville High School. She married Glenn Quint on August 3, 1940 and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2005. Uarda and Glenn farmed all their life in northern Putnam County until moving to Unionville in December 1988.

Uarda belonged to the Rebekah Lodge, Independent Club, and was a member of the Unionville Christian Church. She was a 4-H cooking leader for several years at the Hillcrest 4-H where she taught the older and younger girls. She especially enjoyed the friendship of her 4-H girls, many of whom still live in Putnam County. She enjoyed all the friends that came to see her at Bristol Manor and the Putnam County Care Center. Uarda was a happy individual, wishing to make everyone else happy.

Uarda is survived by a son, Coleman (Linda) Quint and a daughter, Colleen (Charlie) Fowler all of Unionville, MO. Her grandchildren are Shelley (Geoff) Crosby, Lisa (Brian) Jones, Brian (Megan) Quint, Chad (Tawnya) Fowler, and David, (Sue) Fowler. Her great grandchildren are Ashley (Joe) Brumley; Jerney, Jake, and Jessie Jones; Cody, Carson, and Carter Quint; Levi and Lance Fowler; Hudson Fowler; and Tristen Festervand and Ada Evans.

Funeral services for Uarda Quint will be held at Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home at 11:00 Saturday, June 24, 2017, with visitation Friday, June 23, from 6:00 – 8:00. Interment will be at the Unionville Cemetery.
