Vern William Hall

Vern William Hall, 71 of Novinger passed away Tuesday, May 11 th , 2021 at his home.

The son of Charles Vern and Mae Belle (Christenson) Hall, he was born February 12, 1950 in Kirksville, MO. On June 28, 1981 in Kirksville he married Marsha Blackford.

Vern is survived by his wife, Marsha; one sister, Judie Smith and husband Fred of Wichita, KS; and nieces and nephews, David (Nicole) Smith of Derby, KS, Bryson Smith of Derby, KS, Kayla Smith of St. Peter, MN, Mary Smith of Long Beach, CA, Miriam Smith & family, Shane Hall & family, and Nick Hall & family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-brother, Frank Eugene Hall and wife, Beverly.

Vern lived in the Brashear and Hurdland area growing up. He attended the Hurdland and Knox County Schools. He worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory, Truman State University and drove a school bus in Kirksville.

He enjoyed family members and friends, and liked showing ponies and horses in his early years. He was the biggest fan of all his nieces and nephews, going to all their activities.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 15 th , 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.
