Wanda Geraldine Webber

Wanda Webber, 89, of Kirksville, MO, passed away at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, MO, on Sunday, April 21, 2019.

Wanda Geraldine (Hall) Webber was born in Cincinnati, IA, on November 11, 1929, the daughter of Ira Wesley and Callie Coleen (Clemens) Hall, who preceded her in death.  She lived in southern Iowa during her childhood; then her parents moved the family to Wyoming where she graduated from high school.  She married Arthur J. Webber in October of 1960 and he preceded her in death on August 24, 2016.

Wanda and Junior lived most of their married life in Kirksville where Wanda worked in administration at the Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital for 20 years.  She was also a homemaker, caring for their two daughters.  Possessing a poetic soul, Wanda liked to do landscape paintings, write poetry, and read all kinds of books, especially mysteries. She and Junior liked country and bluegrass music, especially local girl Rhonda Vincent.  Wanda was active in the Red Hat club in later years.

Wanda is survived by two daughters, Melissa Anne Webber and Melanie Alta Webber, both of Kirksville; two granddaughters, Erica Michelle and Ava Kristina; and a sister, Mildred Fairchild of Wooster, OH.  She is also survived by brother-in-law Gene (Regina) Webber and sister-in-law Ila Jean Webber.

In addition to her parents and husband, Wanda was preceded in death by five brothers: Gerald Hall, Kenneth Hall, Melvin Hall, Billy Guy Hall, and Jack Hall.

According to her request, Wanda will be cremated and there will be no services.  Arrangements are the direction of Playle and Collins Family Funeral Home, Unionville, MO.
