William "Bill" Sloop

April 30, 1952 — April 9, 2022

William “Bill” Sloop 69, of Kirksville passed away Saturday night (April 9, 2022) at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

The son of Rex and Colleen (Schmid) Sloop, he was born April 30, 1952, in Kirksville.

Bill grew up on a farm east of Queen City, He attended the Queen City Public School, graduating with the class of 1970. Bill attended Trenton Junior College for two years and then attended and graduated from what is now Truman University.

He worked for the State of Missouri in the Dairy Product Division for a few years and then worked for Burdman Auto Parts for several years.

Bill was united in marriage to Tiffany Gregory on December 10, 1988. To this union one daughter, Meghan Colleen, was born.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Meghan, and his parents.

Bill is survived by his wife Tiffany Sloop, his sister Sherry Sloop, step children Jeffery Martin and wife Ashley, Zachary Stephens and wife Ashlee, Paige Eaton and husband Frank, and twenty grandchildren.

Bill loved to hunt and fish and really enjoyed his dogs.

Visitation will be Wednesday (April 13, 2022) from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Dooley Funeral Home in Queen City, MO with Pastor Sonny Smyser officiating,.  Burial will be in the Queen City Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
