Wynette Alexander 73, of Queen City, Missouri passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, in the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
The daughter of Winford and Wanda Kelley Pearson, she was born August 18, 1951, in Kirksville, Missouri. She lived in Greentop, Missouri until she was about seven and then moved with her family to Ottumwa, Iowa, where she grew up and attended the Ottumwa Schools, graduating from the Ottumwa High School with the class of 1970. Wynette moved back to Queen City in 1975.
Wynette was united in marriage to Randy Alexander on June 19, 1976, in the Queen City Christian Church and to this union one daughter, Kimberly Dawn was born.
She was employed at Hollister Inc. in Kirksville, Missouri, for twenty-five years, retiring in 2006.
Wynette is survived in death by her daughter Kimberly Alexander, brother Terry Pearson and wife Lisa of Kirksville, MO., nephews Matt Pearson and wife Laura of Kirksville, MO., and Joshua Pearson and wife Rebecca of Kirksville, MO., nieces Jessica Pearson, Rachael Pearson, and Ciara Pearson of Minnesota, and sister-in-law Carol Salsberry and husband Bill of Queen City, MO. Also several great nephews and great nieces, aunts and cousins survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband Randy, her parents, a brother Larry, her mother and father-in-law Shirley and R.E. Alexander, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Wynette had been a resident of the Schuyler County Nursing Home for the past two years. She enjoyed word search books, playing cards, watching Cardinals Baseball on television, spending time with her family and friends, and her daughter's dog Stevie.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday (January 3, 2025) at the Dooley Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Crossgrove officiating. Burial will be in the Queen City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terry Pearson, Matt Pearson, Joshua Pearson, Bill Salsberry, Mike Rigdon, and Dennis Rigdon. Honorary Bearers will be Russel Gunnels, David Wray, David Snyder, Terry Sevits, John Applegate, and David Barton.
Visitation will be Thursday January 2, 2025 at the Dooley Funeral Home with the family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Memorials are suggested to the daughter.
