Zebina R. Macomber

Zebina Robert Macomber, 82 of Queen City, MO passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Northeast Regional Medical Center.

The son of Zebina Adam and Pearlie Bell (Gale) Macomber, he was born May 19, 1937 in Greentop, Missouri. On August 31, 1960 in Grinnell, Iowa he married Judy Holcomb.

Zebina is survived by his wife, Judy of Murray, KY; three children, Zebina Paul Macomber and wife Pamela of Springfield, MO, Roberta Montgomery and husband Ellison of Murray, KY, and David Macomber of Queen City, MO; one brother, Marion Macomber and wife Marge of Lancaster, MO; one sister, Sharon Mann of Savannah, TN; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George R. Macomber and one sister, June Ann Macomber.

Zebina grew up and attended school in Queen City. He married Judy and they lived in Iowa until moving back to Queen City in 1969. He worked as a truck driver, heavy equipment operator, mechanic, builder, farmer, ran a used car lot and was a race car driver. He was a jack of all trades and mastered most of them.

He enjoyed making a deal and gambling. He was always there if someone needed something and was well known and liked around Queen City. He was known to be stubborn and set in his ways.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2019 at the Dooley Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Dooley Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Greentop Cemetery.
